About

Why I Created HEA Workplace Wellbeing

For more than 20 years, I worked in the finance industry.

So I understand first-hand what busy working life can look like.

Long days.

Deadlines.

Pressure.

Meetings.

Family commitments.

Eating on the go.

Sitting for long periods.

And sometimes simply not having enough time or energy left to think about your own health and wellbeing.

At the same time, we're surrounded by more health and wellbeing information than ever before.

What should I eat?

How much exercise do I actually need?

Should I be doing cardio or weights?

How much protein do I need?

How many steps should I do?

How can I improve my sleep?

The information is everywhere.

But knowing how to make it work around everyday life isn't always so simple.

That's one of the reasons I created HEA Workplace Wellbeing.

Not to give employees another huge course to complete.

Not to tell people they need to completely change their lifestyle.

And definitely not to add more noise and confusion.

Instead, I wanted to create something simple, practical and accessible that could help people understand the fundamentals and make healthier choices that work for them.

Making Everyday Wellbeing Simpler

HEA Workplace Wellbeing brings practical support together across three key areas:

NUTRITION • MOVEMENT • WELLBEING

From understanding food and nutrition, finding simple recipes and making better choices during a busy working day…

to moving more, fitting exercise around real life and accessing short, practical workouts…

to improving sleep, energy, recovery, routines and everyday wellbeing.

Everything is designed around one simple philosophy:

No jargon. No extremes.

Just straightforward information, practical tools and realistic ways to take action.

And employees don't have to do everything.

Choose what supports you.

Use the resources that are relevant to you, when they're relevant to you, and take things one step at a time.

Built Around Real Working Life

HEA Workplace Wellbeing isn't about trying to create the “perfect” lifestyle.

It's about helping make healthier choices easier to understand and easier to fit around real life.

That's why we're developing resources around the situations people actually face:

Busy schedules. Workday food. Eating on the go. Sitting for long periods. Finding time to move. Energy. Sleep. Recovery. Routines.

Small, practical changes that can become part of everyday life.

Working Alongside Employers

HEA Workplace Wellbeing is designed to complement, rather than replace, the wellbeing support organisations may already provide.

We're not an occupational health service, medical provider or replacement for professional mental-health support.

Our focus is the practical, everyday side of health and wellbeing.

Helping bridge the gap between:

knowing our health matters

and

knowing what we can actually do about it day to day.

As a Jersey-based business, I also want HEA to be accessible and responsive.

That means listening to employers and their people, understanding what they genuinely find useful and continuing to develop HEA Workplace Wellbeing around those needs.

Part of the HEA Health Hub

HEA Workplace Wellbeing is part of the wider HEA Health Hub and Healthy Ever After ecosystem.

This gives employees access to practical workplace wellbeing support while also providing the opportunity, if they choose, to explore additional HEA nutrition, recipe, fitness and lifestyle resources.

Different areas. Different needs.

One simple aim:

Make healthy living easier to fit around real life.
